In a partnership between SCRIBO (Italy) and Goldspot Pens (USA) and YouTube creator Neil from Wasted Paper, we proudly present this limited edition design inspired by one of the world's oldest, turn-based strategy board games. For the QUEEN pen, Scribo crafted a dodecagonal shape from translucent, marbled white Italian acrylic, engraving a chessboard pattern aligned with the polished facets. Yellow gold trims accent the pen's clip, engraved cap ring, and the cast Queen piece symbol on top of the cap finial.
The historic OMAS nib is the key component of the SCRIBO writing instrument. Using the same tooling and manufacturing methods once employed by the OMAS pen company, this pen is fitted with a 14kt gold "Feel the Flex" nib or an 18kt gold "Feel the Writing" nib, both paired with an ebonite feeder. Instead of using a number to designate each piece of this edition, Scribo engraved the words "QUEEN to" along with a coordinate found on a 64-square chessboard. All black pens in this edition have coordinates on the black side of the board (H8, for example), while all the white pieces have serials on the white side of the board (A1, for example).
